The word Genesis is Greek from the word gignesthai meaning to be born. The series is comprised of seven panels and is contemplative in nature. These works seek to light a fire, to arouse a response, to start a process. Gold leaf, natural pigments, resins, papers, and found objects are gathered together to create an intricate mixed media surface.
